The Dr. Shirley Linzy Young Artists Orchestra of Las Vegas - Yunior Lopez, Founder & Music Director

The YAO Prep is a pilot music program for kids ages 7-12. The program is designed for beginning students who want to play the violin, viola, cello, or double bass. All students in the Las Vegas area are encouraged to apply. Students will receive high quality instruction from the Young Artists Orchestra’s renowned music staff, and work in a weekly group environment. Program space is limited to 60 participants. Space will be filled at a first-come-first-serve basis. Priority will be given to underserved students who participate in free and/or reduced lunch programs in school, or who demonstrate need. Students who miss the cut off will be placed on a wait list. September 2021 class enrollment will open in late April.

Anticipated Start Date: January 12, 2021
Weekly Rehearsal Day/Time: Tuesday’s from 4:00 – 5:15 PM OR 5:30 – 6:45 PM
Cost: $40/month (avg. 4 classes/month)

Students must be between the ages of 7-12 for the YAO Prep program. Students who are outside of this age group will be put on the waitlist until a spot becomes available.
Please choose the instrument the student wishes to learn or is currently playing.
Please note this program is for those with limited experience. Students with 1+ year(s) of experience should apply for one of our youth orchestra programs.
