The Dr. Shirley Linzy Young Artists Orchestra of Las Vegas (YAO) is powered by people who believe that music changes lives. As one of the few tuition-free youth orchestras in the nation, we rely on volunteers to keep opportunities accessible for every young musician on stage, in the classroom, and out in the community. When you give your time, you help turn rehearsals into performances, ideas into programs, and students into confident leaders.

Every volunteer hour reduces costs, expands capacity, and directly supports free, high-quality arts education. Your help ensures our concerts run smoothly, our students feel supported, and our community experiences the joy and unity that music creates.
Ways to make an impact

Fundraising & Sponsorships: Join campaigns, steward donors, and open doors to new partnerships.

Event Crew (Setup/Strike): Prepare venues, greet guests, manage front-of-house, and help with teardown.

Special Projects: Lend skills in photography, design, social media, data entry, education outreach, or logistics.

Leadership & Governance: Serve on committees or apply for Board service—especially if you bring expertise in fundraising, finance, marketing, education, or community engagement.
