Violin Kids is a beginning music program for kids ages 5-9 (exceptions can be made for 10-11 y/o). The program is designed for beginning students who want to learn to play the violin. Students will receive high quality instruction from the Young Artists Orchestra’s renowned music staff, and work in a weekly group environment. Our highly experienced teachers work to help students develop a joy and love of music through string education and performance. This program is a wonderful opportunity for children interested in music to begin playing a string instrument in a supportive music environment. Parents are encouraged to participate in the classes and encourage the students in daily practice. Based on the financial commitment and the need for program consistency, it is important for all students to commit to an entire school year of classes.
All students in the Las Vegas area are encouraged to register. Program space is limited to 30 participants, and space will be filled at a first-come-first-serve basis. Students who miss the cut off will be placed on a wait list. Students may enroll in a class with complete beginners or students with 1 year or less experience.

The YAO does not provide instrument rentals or sales. Nevertheless, we have great partnerships in place with local music stores who provide our students with incredible sales and rentals for as little as $15/month (includes insurance). Most importantly, our partners will help measure each student so they find an instrument that fits their needs. We highly advise against buying instruments online as instruments may be too big or small for the student.
Please visit our Music Store partners to inquire about options.
If you have any questions about instrument rentals, purchases, and sizing, then please send us an email at yaorchestra@gmail.com
