The Dr. Shirley Linzy Young Artists Orchestra of Las Vegas - Yunior Lopez, Founder & Music Director

The 2020 Summer Music Institute for young string players will take place this coming July. Students will attend daily rehearsals under YAO Music Director, Yunior Lopez, work alongside professional musicians, perform in Masterclasses, and take part in seminars covering audition preparation and practice. Open to all string players aged 18 and under. Students may attend session 1 from July 13 – 17 and/or session 2 from July 20 – 24 with daily classes from 10 am – 2:00 pm. Hosted in Maryland Square at 3661 S. Maryland Parkway next to the Adelson Clinic and across the Boulevard Mall.

The faculty for the 2019 camp includes renowned staff from the Young Artists Orchestra program: Yuri Cho and Susan Kim (violins), Yunior Lopez and Kerry Bennett (violas), Andy Smith and Moonlight Tran (cellos), Brycen Ingersoll (double bass), and Manuel Gamazo Jr. (percussion). Additional guest artists and events to be announced.

Summer Music Institute Tuition is $250/week or $350 for both weeks

*Scholarships and financial aid is available at first-come-first-serve basis. Tuition fees are non-refundable.
