MarcAnthony Decoy – Horn

MarcAnthony DeCoy is currently a high school senior studying at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. Starting at the age of 11, MarcAnthony began studying French Horn. In 2013, he joined the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras, where he played and performed with them for two years. MarcAnthony was admitted to the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts high school, and currently performs in the Las Vegas Academy Wind Ensemble and in the Las Vegas Academy Philharmonic under the direction of Brian Downey. MarcAnthony has been a member of the CCSD Honor Band for two years, and was selected to perform in the 2017 NMEA All-State Band under the direction of Glen Adsit in Reno, NV.
In March 2017, MarcAnthony traveled with the Las Vegas Academy Band to Honolulu, HI, where they performed in the Pacific Basin Music Festival alongside ensembles from Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, and The Philippines, and were chosen to perform at their Command Performance in the beautiful Hawaii Theatre. In April 2017, MarcAnthony traveled with the Las Vegas Academy Philharmonic to Malibu, CA, where they performed a combined concert with the Pepperdine Symphony Orchestra. In November 2017, he will travel with the Las Vegas Academy Wind Ensemble to Seattle, WA, where they will perform in the Western International Band Conference.
After high school, MarcAnthony plans to continue to study music, and strives to find any opportunity to perform. On his free time, he enjoys listening to, studying, and composing music.
