Manuel Gamazo Jr. has been playing percussion, timpani, and drum-set in the Las Vegas valley for several years. He’s worked with several orchestras including The Desert Winds, The Henderson Symphony, The Nevada Pops and The Las Vegas Philharmonic. He has also played in several large events and awards shows such as EDC, Latin Grammy’s and local show rooms and jazz lounges.
Mr. Gamazo was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and earned a Bachelor’s of Music in Education and Bachelor’s of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He currently teaches Middle School Band in the Clark County School District, serves as Secretary for the Nevada Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society, and coaches the percussionists of the Dr. Shirley Linzy Young Artists Orchestra. Recently, Manuel was named Director of the Young Artists Orchestra Percussion Ensemble.
