Deanna Chea was born in San Jose, California and moved to the valley at six months old. She is currently a freshman in the Honors College at UNLV as a Biotechnology major. Deanna has played violin since the sixth grade and accumulated many accolades during her previous high school years, including 4 years in the Nevada All-State Orchestra. She participated in various ensembles including the Green Valley High School Symphony Orchestra and 2017 Green Valley musical production of “Nice Work If You Can Get It.” She has performed in multiple states across the country, from New York to California. Deanna was also a member of the orchestral pit in the 2016 CCSD production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” travelling to Nebraska for the National Thespian Festival in June 2017.
In her free time, Deanna enjoys painting, hiking, and shopping. She would like to one day travel and establish a career in the field of science while hoping to forever integrate music into her life.
