Aolani, currently in the 8th grade and studying under Crystal Yuan, has played the violin since the age of 4 and is musically fluent in various styles including classical, jazz, and pop/rock. She plays with the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras and has been a part of the CCSD Honor Orchestra in which she was selected as a featured improvisational soloist under the direction of Yunior Lopez. She has participated in the Solo & Ensemble Festival, earning Superior ratings each year and has been Concertmaster at Bob Miller MS for 3 years. Aolani enhances her musical background by playing weekly in her church ensemble with pianist & musical director Dan Ellis. She also enjoys jamming with bands of all styles and performing jazz with her father, an accomplished drummer, at various venues in the Las Vegas Valley, including The District. In her free time, Aolani actively volunteers and takes joy in performing for senior citizens and children who in turn adore her talents and enthusiasm. Aolani aspires to continue to develop and hone her abilities as a multi-faceted violinist by expanding on her musical experiences both on and off the stage.
