Movies have a way of transporting audiences and teaching lessons that can resonate with our souls in a deep, impactful way. Yet, movies wouldn’t have that same effect without the incredible music behind those quirky, love- struck, inquisitive, and innovative characters and scenes. Today’s performance features some of the most beloved music ever written that transcend classical music. From Claire de Lune (featured in Ocean’s Eleven) to Schindler’s List, you will remember the impact music has on basic human emotion and memory. Our featured guest artists include Korean-Americ- an violinist, Susan Kim, making her YAO debut as guest concertmaster and soloist. Our main feature is Canadian pianist, Benjamin Smith, who makes his Las Vegas debut in one of the most passionate works of all time in Rachmo- ninoff’s Piano Concerto no. 2.
