Join us for an afternoon in celebration of global musical traditions. The program includes the Peruvian folk song “El Cóndor Pasa,” Benjamin Britten’s “Sentimental Sarabande,” and Kurt Weill’s “Surabaya Johnny,” featuring soprano Isabella Ivy. After intermission, enjoy selections from Mozart’s The Magic Flute, including the famous “Queen of the Night Aria,” performed by Ivy, and Gabriel Fauré’s “Fantaisie op. 79,” featuring flutist Sachi Blevins. The concert concludes with “The Legend of the Condor Heroes” from the popular Chinese TV series based on the novel by Chinese writer Jin Yong.
